Fall in Oregon Wine Country
One of the best parts of visiting Salem in autumn? Wine country is all around us.
Harvest season brings a different energy to the Willamette Valley, with changing vineyard colors, intimate wine dinners, seasonal menus and special events that celebrate the year’s vintage.
A few fall experiences worth adding to your itinerary include:
Set among the rolling hills south of Salem, Ankeny Vineyard pairs estate-grown wines with a relaxed, food-forward atmosphere. October’s calendar includes live music, trivia nights and a Halloween-themed Hallo-Wine & Good Times on October 30. On November 1, guests can start the month with Bubbles & Brunch, featuring brunch favorites and wood-fired pizza.
For a wine-country experience with a little more personality, head to Cória Estates. The family-owned winery hosts live music throughout October, along with a Winemaker’s Murder Mystery Dinner on October 23 and a Spooktacular Tamale Night on October 29. Come for the wine, stay for the food, music and views.
For a memorable fall evening, Björnson Vineyard is hosting Oregon chef Adrien Calmels for a one-night-only, 10-course tasting dinner on October 24. Each course will be paired with estate wines, with a menu inspired by Pacific Northwest autumn flavors.
Perched in the Eola-Amity Hills just outside Salem, Bethel Heights offers classic Willamette Valley wines and sweeping vineyard views. On October 24, the winery will host its final Beyond the Blocks Dinner of the 2026 season, an intimate evening centered around wine and food.
